Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system featuring a unique landscape of high wooded dunes, beach and a dune blowout. Visitors can enjoy a casual hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline that includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes. A dune boardwalk trail with a shade canopy and pit toilets are located near the beach. Parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, but the park is open year round.

This state park is located on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan with the Grand River to the north. The park has 174 modern campsites on pavement, a picnic area, and playground equipment, a pier and lighthouse as well as a popular boardwalk that stretches from the park to Grand Haven. Park activates and facilities include, swimming, fishing, hiking, a beach, a concession and store, cross country skiing, a beach house, a metal detecting area and more.
