    Kalamazoo River

    Flowing out of Lake Michigan east to Kalamazoo, the Kalamazoo River was used for waste removal and was polluted by paper mills until the 1960s, when strict guidelines were enforced. Fishing is not recommended on this river, as the species who have made a comeback contain PCBs. In the 1990s, this river was placed on the National Priorities List as one of the worst toxic dumps in the United States, and a fund was set up to clean it.

    Mississippi River

    Known as America's Great Road, Big River, Father of the Water and other nicknames, the Mississippi River has long played an important part in the history of the United States. The river was once a major exploration route and is now host to a myriad of recreational and commercial activites. The river flows through or adjacent to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. The river is part of one of the world's largest river systems.

    Juno Lake
    Juno Lake offers visitors 559 acres of water for boating, swimming and many other aquatic activities. The lake has a boat launch at the Adamsville Public Access area as well as 16 parking places and a near by golf course.

    St. Jospeh River

    The St. Joseph River runs through southern Michigan, into northern Indiana and empties into Lake Michigan at St. Joseph, Michigan. In total, the river spans 3,742 mi (5,987 km) and provides water for area agriculture. People can fish, kayak and raft on portions of the river.
